Bonds Party Like It's 1949
After the brief uptick in interest rates in March, many are asking if the bond party is over. Certainly we are entering the last phase of an almost 30 year bull market in bonds, reasonably illustrated by the following chart, which tracks the 10 Year Treasury rate since 1960. Go further back and the end of the last bond bull market was around 1949.
